wisdom from the inbox.

The thing that's totally different between children and adults is that children have the ability to spontaneously use their imagination to forget what's bothering them and be inspired by

every pony,

feather,

or bug

that crosses their path.

i love this sentiment. need to practice it more. and learn from these two teachers of mine.

p.s. Here's why you should get the e card and shop locally:

If everyone in Connecticut shifted just 10% of their spending from national chains and online retailers to locally owned businesses, it would create $1.2 billion in additional economic activity in the state and boost the income of residents by over $300 million a year. This is according to Stacy Mitchell, senior researcher for the New Rules Project and best selling author of "Big-Box Swindle: the True Cost of Mega-Retailers and the Fight for America's Independent Retailers".

. . .seriously, don't you find that amazing? $1.2 billion for only 10% is so doable. help spread the word this holiday season and purchase your e card today.

wedding row wednesday | tip of the day |

josie jolon, owner of beneath the gown, has to be one of the nicest people you will ever meet. seriously, not only does she have a heart of gold, but her talent is beyond measure. she creates magic with the touch of a wand, where transformation is an understatement. not to mention, it was a pleasure for us to collaborate on the brand identity for beneath the gown.

josie was also kind enough to share with us some insight for our wedding row wednesday's |tip of the day|. . .when selecting undergarments for your wedding gown, josie advises:

•take a moment to make a list of areas you would like to improve

•do not be afraid to ask for help

•take into consideration your comfort level

•just like with gowns, you must try on different pieces before making a purchase decision

hope you'll come meet her and all our neighbors on wedding row during our open house on november 1st. you can rsvp here.
